The Clutha District is embarking on a mission to build a vibrant startup ecosystem. This initiative, driven by Clutha Development with support from COIN South, aims to provide budding entrepreneurs, business owners, and innovators with the resources, support, and connections they need to turn their ideas into successful ventures.

“We are thrilled to partner with COIN South to build a robust startup ecosystem in the Clutha District. This initiative will make the district a space for innovation to be nurtured, for businesses to grow and scale, and grow our local economy,” said Sarah Hayward, Clutha Development.

COIN South will play a pivotal role in this initiative by offering various support programs designed to nurture and grow new businesses. Starting with Activator Sessions, a free 30-minute consultation where aspiring entrepreneurs and budding business owners in the Clutha District can discuss their ideas and receive guidance on the next steps to bring their vision to life.

Additionally, COIN South will host Start It, a comprehensive business basics course covering essential topics such as business planning, marketing, and the fundamentals of running a business in its early stages. This course is an excellent starting point for anyone looking to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to launch a successful business.

"Our partnership with Clutha Development marks an exciting chapter for the Clutha District. Through programs like Activator Sessions and Start It, we are committed to empowering local entrepreneurs and helping them transform their ideas into viable businesses. Together, we can cultivate a dynamic startup culture that benefits everyone in the community," said Cathy Peters, COIN South.

Building the ecosystem in the Clutha District means connecting like-minded people. Meetups will provide valuable networking opportunities, allowing individuals to connect with a range of people, from other entrepreneurs to potential investors and service providers who can help them on their business journey.

To ensure the success of this initiative, Clutha Development has also partnered with Mainland Angel Investors. Together, Clutha Development, COIN South, and Mainland Angel Investors will provide the tools and connections necessary to turn ideas into reality.
