A Kickstarter Session is a 20-minute discussion where you have the chance to talk through your business, venture, or idea and get focused feedback from the team at COIN South. It takes a little bit of bravery to share your idea with new people, but after just 20 minutes you’ll walk away with some next steps and valuable advice. 

We’ll ask you two main questions: 

• How did you arrive at this idea? 

• What’s stopping you from growing further? 

We’ll ask you a bunch of other questions too, like who your customers are, whether you have an accountant, how big you want to get. You can tell us as much or as little as you like within 20 mins.

How much does it cost?

Nothing but time.

The sessions are free, and all we ask is that you’re respectful of everyone’s time. Turn up early, ready to take notes, and you’ll get the most out of your 30 minutes.

What do I bring?

Big ideas. And an open mind.

The session is simply an informal chat, however, you’re welcome to bring anything you need to explain your idea (notes, drawings, websites, photos, etc.) or just bring you. If you’ve completed your COIN Canvas, bring that along too.  

What is a coin canvas?

A business plan on one page.

Don’t worry, it’s not as hard as it sounds. We aren’t expecting much detail. We just want you to bullet-point into each box on the plan. It doesn’t need to be perfect - it’s just a tool to communicate your idea succinctly. If you need to leave a box blank because you’re not sure, feel free. It is never too early to talk to us.
