1 Minute. 3 Slides. 1 Ask.

This event is for you if:

  1. You love hearing & contributing to new ideas.

  2. You want to meet like-minded people.

  3. You'd like to share your ideas with a positive & encouraging crowd.

If you are pitching on the night

  • Send your 3 slides (pages of your presentation) to hello@coinsouth.nz by no later 12pm Tuesday 30th March. We cannot accept slides after this time. You can still pitch last minute, and we hope some of you will but you’ll need to pitch without slides (unless you print and hold them).

  • Remember to have an Ask. An ask is what you want the people listening to do for you - buy your product, try your test cookies, download your app, like your FB page, tell you the worst bit about the idea, pick a colour, invest! We’ll collate all the asks, and resend them to people at the end of the night. You never know, you may get sales!

  • Even if your idea is not fully formed, have a go. It's the next step toward making your idea a reality. And a great way of growing your supporter list.

If you are not in Invercargill, you can still pitch

  • Send a video of your 1-minute presentation to hello@coinsouth.nz by no later 12pm Tuesday 30th March. We cannot accept remote pitches after this time. Make sure your Ask is in the video. All in 1 min.

  • Watch the pitch night (including your own video and feedback) on Zoom here.

  • We’ll send you your feedback as notes after the pitch.

Tips for a prize-winning pitch

💛 Be authentic.
📖 Tell the story.
🛬 Land the plane. Get your point across smartly
🗣 Keep them nodding. Getting them agreeing from the beginning so when you ask it's an easy yes.
