Soda Inc.is trialing grants and mentoring sessions to push Kiwi ideas forward. They have $5,000, $2,000 & $1,000 grants available. To apply, you need to film a 60-second video pitching your idea and if shortlisted, join a 30-minute meeting (online) so they can get to know you and your business better.
Apply for this round of Soda Inc. Seed grants here.
How much does this workshop cost?
This session is free, and can help you whether you’re applying in this round or for any future grant rounds. If you’re looking to get a professional to film you, it’ll probably cost about $500, so we’ll teach you what you need to do this yourself.
What do I need to bring?
If you have a laptop with any editing software bring that. Bring your smartphone. And if you have neither, bring yourself and your COIN Canvas filled in. Ideally, you’ll also have your elevator pitch sorted, but we’ll go through that too.
What can I expect?
An hour workshop on best practice for pitching to Soda Inc. We’ll chat with Rach of Soda Inc., work through the format, share some tips and tricks and talk with Josie of Robbie’s Pickles and Onions, who placed second in the previous round of Soda Inc. Grants. This is a chance to get hands on, try out your pitching techniques and learn how best to get this 60 second video pitched.
