We shouldn’t underestimate the power of our voice it carries a lot of influence and you can train it to sound more authoritative, carry credibility, or become more persuasive. As with all presentations the first step is deciding the objective and even with a presentation, this step is crucial and usually overlooked. Presented by Miriam McKenzie from Say It Clearly, we’ll cover:

  • Objectives and strategy, what they have to do with presentations and how to decide on the correct one.

  • Condensing what you want to say and what you need to say into a short amount of time. This will include writing the ‘script’.

  • Exercises to help you relax in situations you may find difficult, breathing techniques so you can get your idea out in one breath (and why it’s an idea and not a sentence).

  • Resonance exercises to develop a tone of voice that adds credibility and creates authority when speaking in any situation.

Fears are normal it’s about what to do with your nerves!
